I’m Marcy Pullard, a licensed clinical social worker in California. A graduate of The University of Southern California’s MSW program, my experience began with child welfare reunification and emergency response services at The Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services. In my 25 years as a licensed mental health professional I have provided individual clinical services, clinical supervision and training in a range of social work settings.

My areas of expertise are in clinical assessment and documentation, especially in urgent and emergent situations. As a documentation expert, I have created and facilitated clinical documentation training to help social work students and professionals develop or enhance their ability to conduct thorough intakes/assessments and produce quality documentation that will stand up in audits and other quality reviews.

In an effort to focus on the areas of social work I am most passionate about,in recent years I have combined my knowledge and experience to form The Clinician’s Development Center, Inc., which offers training and coaching to students and developing social work professionals; and The Crisis Management Concierge, Inc., private services that offer unique, customized, high quality clinical services to those in crisis.

As your crisis management concierge, I am dedicated to tailoring services to meet your unique needs, providing the flexibility, and personalized care you deserve during critical times. Concierge crisis counseling provides an individual, short-term, and solution-focused approach to mental healthcare; customized and designed to offer a unique combination of services, including system navigation, to a limited number of clients. Unlike traditional insurance-based services, this model removes barriers such as pre-authorization requirements for the type of support provided, pre-determined allowances for frequency, and restrictions on the length of sessions or time in treatment. I do not function as an emergency crisis line, so if you or the person you are concerned about is at imminent/immediate risk of self harm or harm to others, I urge you to call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.

The Clinician's Development Center, Inc.

Also known as “The Center,” The Clinician’s Development Center, Inc., was established to offer social work students and professionals training and support as they navigate the social work profession. The Center was established to streamline access to live and recorded training. Enrollment in the school is free, but courses are available for a fee. Based on my area of expertise, I created my signature course, "The Essentials of Documentation" for case managers and clinicians. The online version is asynchronous, consisting of self-paced reading and pre-recorded videos. The Essentials of Documentation has also been presented at conferences, universities, and community based agencies. The Strategies for Success in Social Work is a membership program that serves as a supplement to academic programs. The goal of The Clinician’s Development Center is to provide training and support that is not included in most academic programs, thereby bridging the gap between the classroom and the clinician.
